TopoTrek emerged at the intersection of two of my biggest passions: design, and the outdoors.

I've also always been fascinated by maps, especially the unique aesthetic of topographic maps. One day (while stuck in traffic after a trip to REI), I was thinking about interesting outdoorsy designs, and I thought it would be fun to design a shirt featuring the topography of one of my favorite places (the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend). One thing led to another, and TopoTrek came to be!
